125 very well behaved and attentative students!

The students gathered in the cafeteria listening to the "Turn it to the Left" to get in the mood!

Andy Cannons began the program by introducing the USF Instructors and their students and the members of Greater Tampa Sertoma Club.

Approximately 120 students watched and listened as a slide presentation was narrated by the USF students, which explained the anatomy of the ears, how they function and how fragile they are.

Almost all hands went up to the question, “who has an iPod?”.
It was then suggested to the CES students to “turn it to the left”, to lower the volume on their iPods.

A graphic was displayed showing various sources of sound level, from lower to higher. The USF crew then conducted a Q&A on the anatomy of the ear and difference sound levels explained earlier.

The GTSC Members handed out ear plugs and small charts of sound
the sound sources and levels.

The CES students were broken up into groups. The USF crew and GTSC members showed how to insert and remove ear plugs and answer questions.

This marks the 10th year GTSC has conducted the SAFEEars program
